About us

Founded in 1940, we work as part of the Citizens Advice network, an organisation of around 350 independent advice charities supported and regulated by our national office, Citizens Advice. We are also regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.

We aim to achieve our charitable objectives by providing the advice people need for the problems they face and by improving the policies and practices that affect their lives. We provide free, independent, confidential and impartial advice to everyone on their rights and responsibilities. We value diversity, promote equality and challenge discrimination.

We hold the Advice Quality Standard with casework in benefits, debt, housing and employment, the Specialist Quality Mark in housing and have been awarded Centre of Excellence status by the London Legal Support Trust. We are also a London Living Wage employer and a member of the Disability Confident scheme.
